Having recently re-opened The Bell, following the devastating flooding in October 2019, and again in February 2020, we are very sad to say that we shall be closing our doors on Friday, 23rd October.
As you may be aware, the First Minister of Wales, Mark Drakeford, has ordered people in Wales to stay at home for two weeks to break the rapidly increasing spread of coronavirus in Wales. A fire-break lockdown will be come into force in Wales from this Friday, 23rd October, and run until Monday, 9th November, when we very much hope to be able to open our doors again.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and, for those who have made a booking with us for accommodation or a meal during the lockdown period, obviously your booking will now be cancelled. However, please call us to discuss should you wish to re-book.
Perhaps optimistically, we shall still be taking bookings for beyond the lockdown period ie after November 9th and for Christmas and New Year. We send all the guests who cannot now visit our very best wishes, and look forward to welcoming you when we can.
We sincerely hope that this lockdown will have the desired effect and result in bringing down the number of Covid-19 cases in Wales.
The Bell at Skenfrith
